[not really a lecture -- these are the notes I scribbled
on the visualiser while explaining (mainly in spoken words,
making extensive use of a hat...)
various issues such as (i) the choice of the unit normal in
Stokes theorem; (ii) exam stuff; (iii) what does the "general solution"
mean if you solve 1st order PDEs by "my" (a.k.a. the implicit)
method]
- Lecture 21b
[again not really a lecture -- these are my own notes that I
briefly displayed on the visualiser while explaining a better way (?)
(well, certainly a more general way than was done in Dave's
notes) of evaluating surface integrals. It's a
free bonus track (no additional fees will be charged!) and since
it's virtually unreadable it's not examinable!]
If you spot any problems, please see me in my
office (room 2.224 in the Alan Turing building), contact me by email
(M.Heil@maths.man.ac.uk)
or catch me after the lecture.
