What's the Tour about?
- The tour is designed to introduce the Dark Peak area of the Peak District.
- It will take you through a walk along the Pennine Way, from moorlands to exposed upland summits and reservoirs.
- Includes lots of photos, images, and diagrams to help you get a feel for, and visualise what the area is like.
- Throughout the tour, we will cover the geographical themes of peat, vegetation, geology, water quality & landslides.
The tour guides you step by step through the area and shows you the features of interest at each site.
- When taking the tour for the first time, start at link 1 on the map which will take you through the walk in the correct order.
- The back and forward buttons will do just that, stop-by-stop.
- At the end of each page, click the right button to go to the next site.
- If you want to start again from the beginning of the walk, just click the back to tour button to bring you back to the map page.
