Dr. Euan Soutter

Portrait

Bio

Euan began his geological career by gaining a B.Sc. in Earth Science from the University of Glasgow, closely followed by an M.Sc. in Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Manchester. Euan remained at Manchester to undertake a Ph.D. in deep-water sedimentology, where he was particularly focussed on how external and internal factors are recorded in experimental, exhumed and subsurface deep-water systems. Upon completion of his Ph.D. Euan joined the Slope5 project as a Research Associate, where he aims to use exhumed Cretaceous slope systems of Baja California to better understand submarine canyon processes and up-dip pinchouts.
