The photo below looks eastwards from Clough Edge, across Torside Clough towards Long Gutter Edge.
The lip of the main landslip forming Long Gutter Edge is easily identified.
Heather clings to the steeper, well drained slope sides.
Bracken prefers the gentler, lower slopes.
Molina and other grasses occur on the flatter areas on the small hummocks to the left of the photo.
These are probably the remains of slumped material from smaller, later landslips.

Scree occurs where the slope is steep and unstable.
Little or no vegetation occurs here as soils are absent or very thin and dry.
