Rohit Padakanti is from Mancherial, Telangana, India. He completed his integrated MSc in Chemistry at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Surat. During his undergraduate studies, he carried out a research internship under the supervision of Dr Togati Naveen on microwave-assisted, catalyst-free green synthesis and worked as an industrial intern in the quality control and process control laboratories at ONGC, Surat. For his integrated master's thesis, supervised by Dr Ketan Kuperkar, he investigated the solvation behaviour of dyes in deep eutectic solvent–water mixtures as environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional solvents. Rohit is currently pursuing an MSc in Chemistry at the University of Manchester, where he is conducting research on ruthenium-catalysed ortho-alkylation under the supervision of Prof. Igor Larrosa. His research interests include target-driven organic synthesis and the synthesis of functional materials.
