Piotr

Piotr studied Pharmaceutical Engineering at the Poznan University of Medical Sciences and Poznan University of Technology, where he completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, focusing on biologically active purine derivatives and their applications in nanotechnology and medicine. He is currently a PhD student at the Doctoral School of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences. He began his PhD within the PRELUDIUM BIS 4 programme, focused on drug delivery systems in primary liver cancers and is also the principal investigator of a PRELUDIUM 24 project on functional nanomaterials for targeted drug delivery in lung adenocarcinoma. His research interests include medicinal chemistry, purine derivatives, functional nanomaterials, and targeted drug delivery systems for anticancer therapy. He is currently a research visitor at the University of Manchester, where he works on the modification of active pharmaceutical ingredients using catalytic methods to introduce functional groups suitable for conjugation with polymer-based drug delivery systems. Outside the lab, he enjoys inline and ice skating, gardening and playing the keyboard.
