Michael is from Hong Kong and completed his BSc in Chemistry at Nottingham Trent University in 2016. After that he moved to the University of East Anglia for an MSc, working on palladium-catalysed cascade C-H/N-H activation of arylsulfoximines under the supervision of Dr Tom Storr. After his MSc, he worked for a contract research organization as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry. He is currently under the co-supervision of Prof Igor Larrosa and Dr Meera Mehta from the University of Oxford, focusing on ruthenium catalysis methodology development.
