Emilie was born and raised in Strasbourg, France. In 2016, she left her hometown to pursue higher education at the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris. In 2020, she obtained her ENS Diploma as well as her MSc in chemistry and life sciences from the Paris Sciences et Lettres University. She then joined the team of Prof. Joseph Moran at the Institut de Science et d’Ingénierie Supramoléculaires in Strasbourg to work on catalytic processes at the origins of life. After obtaining her PhD in 2024, she spent a few months in Ottawa, Canada, where the Moran group is relocating, to continue her research and finalise some projects. As a postdoctoral research associate, she is now working on the development of AI tools to elucidate reaction mechanisms. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, cooking, and knitting, and also a good pint on a sunny (now rainy) terrace.
