eTALK: embodied Thought for Abstract Language Knowledge
UKRI Gateway to Research project (EP/Y029534/1), led by Prof. Angelo Cangelosi at the University of Manchester. The project studies embodied grounding of concrete and abstract language in robots through developmental AI, cognitive modelling, and human-robot interaction.

Designing and evaluating pneumatic and vibrotactile haptic interfaces on steering wheels to improve human takeover responses in autonomous vehicles, considering arousal, personality, and age.

Robot Facial Self-Awareness via Sensorimotor Learning
Enabling a humanoid robot to recognise its own facial expressions through a sensorimotor learning loop using conditional GANs and self-supervised feedback from a mirror-like setup.

PhD Thesis: Towards Personalized Vehicle and Multi-modal Human-machine Interaction
PhD thesis by Zhegong Shangguan (Institut Polytechnique de Paris, 2024/11/19). The thesis investigates personality- and emotion-aware driving behaviour modelling, adaptive control, and multimodal takeover interfaces including pneumatic haptic interaction for trustworthy automated driving, including the emotional driving study on arousal, personality, and behaviour.
