Stef Jansen is a Senior Lecturer in Social Anthropology at the University of Manchester (UK) whose work aims to contribute to the development of a critical anthropology of the making of home and hope with regard to place, nation and postsocialist state transformations, based on long term ethnographic research in the post-Yugoslav states of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia.

On research leave from February 2012 until Summer 2012.
