Aliaa holds a BEng (Process and Food), MSc (Food Engineering) and joined the group from the Department of Process and Food Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia.

The initial stage of this project is to develop a novel circulating flow rig, funded by a Royal Society Equipment Grant.
