 Education

I am an enthusiastic and extremely motivated

physicist with a mathematical background and

an analytical approach to problem solving. I

have an internationally leading research track

record and possess excellent managerial and

leadership skills. I am a natural communicator

with advanced oral presentation skills and the

ability to disseminate complex scientific issues

in interesting and simple ways. I have the ability

to learn new skills quickly and therefore possess

a wide range of academic and technical

expertise. I possess strong interpersonal skills

allowing me to work effectively in a team

environment.

 Key Skills

I attended the University of Liverpool where I

obtained a first class honours degree in Physics

and Mathematics and a Ph.D. in

Experimental Nuclear Structure Physics.

• Project management from conception to publication

• Statistical analysis and interpretation of complex scientific data

• Radiation detection and measurement, low temperature and vacuum systems

• The production, testing and implementation of various types of radiation detectors and associated electronics

• Computer operating systems, programming languages and scripts. In particular highly skilled in the use of C and C++

• Latex, Word and several graphics packages for the production of professional documents and visual presentations

• Simulation and modelling software in particular Geant4 and MCNP

• Highly skilled in oral presentations
