The biological physics group aims to apply techniques and ideas from physics to biological problems. The group was established in 2001 and is currently developing teaching and research programmes. Currently we are carrying out research on the structure and dynamics of proteins and lipids at fluid interfaces; complex fluids under flow, using confocal microscopy and simulations of the heart and self organisation in other active media.
