Intermittency of the logistic map

For the logistic map

$x_{n+1}=\mu x_{n}(1-x_{n})$ , before

$\mu$ gets into the period-3 window (starting about 3.83), there is a small interval of values of

$\mu$ such that the orbits are "trapped" into a nearly periodic orbit with period 3, called intermittency.
