Filter Equation

Consider the filtration of a suspension of incompressible solids at a concentration of 300 kg m -3 of slurry that is filtered at a constant pressure drop.
This example calculate the filtration area (A) necessary to produce 50 kg h -1 of dry solids.
The graph below shows the filtration area that one needs for a specific filtration time and also illustrate how some key parameters are affecting the amount of area needed. Investigate these parameters effecting the filter area (A) over the filteration time (t).
