As the effect of feed and device parameters are complex for cyclones if we want a design based on the full grade curve then this can be difficult. Therefore, one of the key design methods is based on obtaining particle-collection efficiency data for a cyclone of diameter D and establishing geometric ratios that permit scaling up or down.
