THE INDIRECT MEASUREMENT OF THE HUMAN WHOLE-BODY FREQUENCY

Improved knowledge of the characteristics of the human whole-body would assist the understanding of various human body response to structural vibration and structural vibration where people are involved. A method is developed for the indirect measurement of the human whole-body frequency.

Considering a human whole-body to be a system whose frequency is to be determined; whereas the selected structure is a well defined system. The human body and the structure form a combined system when the person is standing on the structure. By studying the structure and the combined system and establishing the relationships between the two systems and the human whole-body system, some characteristics of the human body can be determined.

A simplified, a continuous, an actual (experimental) and a numerical (FE) models of the human whole-body, the structure and the combined human-structure system are integrated to deal with the problem by which the human whole-body frequency in standing can be identified.

The proposed method was used by the Silsoe Research Institute to obtain the whole-body frequency of chicken that cannot be tested on a shaking table. The research aimed to improve the meat quality of chickens. We look forward to tasting more delicious chicken meat in the near future.
