Programme of talks:
This is a joint seminar of UMIST and the University of Manchester. "Geometry" is understood in the broadest sense. Lectures may be on any topic with some relation however tenuous to geometry/topology, and should begin in a manner that makes the material accessible to mathematicians in general. All are welcome to attend and graduate students are particularly encouraged to do so.
The seminar is held on Thursdays, 3 p.m.
In Semester 1 it is held in Room N6 (N floor), UMIST Maths Tower (MSS building, see directions to UMIST).
In Semester 2 it is held in Room 9.05, the University of Manchester Mathematics Building (on Oxford Road, see
directions).
