A Super Duality Approach to the Representation Theory of Lie Superalgebras

We formulate and establish an equivalence between parabolic categories O of modules of classical Lie superalgebras and their suitable counterparts for classical Lie algebras. This provides a complete and conceptual solution to the long-standing problem of finding the irreducible characters for classical Lie superalgebras in a parabolic category O, which includes all finite-dimensional irreducible modules, in terms of classical Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. This is joint work with Shun-Jen Cheng and Ngau Lam.
