Fiona and I live in Marsden which is a beautiful place on the moors -- beautiful if you like your landscape bleak (which I do). More pictures can be found at the National Trust Marsden Moor Estate site. Marsden is on the Manchester to Huddersfield railway line. This (a veiled hint to family members) makes it easily accessible from London. Be warned though -- it can be several degrees cooler than anywhere else... at least one degree colder than the weather in Huddersfield!
Fiona has been involved in several web projects and you can see some of her journalism on the Yorkshire Post website. My brothers are accessible in a variety of ways. Hugo has a web site. Matthew works for sportbusiness.com, which does exactly what it says (but it is a commercial site). Simon is in the Philosophy Department at LSE.
I can also direct you to a nuclear bunker (no kidding). It is owned by a friend of mine, Ben Laurie. Alternatively, you could visit the moon.
