Public Engagement

Some examples of my public engagement activities are:

• Leading the team working with Cecile B. Evans to produce the "Sprung a Leak" exhibit at Tate Liverpool during 2016 and 2017.

  This is an 18 minute play, involving three robots, as well as synchronised video images; members of the public could walk within the play as it unfolded. See here for an example video.

  At Liverpool this attracted over 100,000 visitors before moving on to Belgium, Germany and Japan. In addition we (with the artist) held Q&A sessions for the public.

• Work with Louise Dennis as part of the LegoRovers activity she leads.

  My involvement has mainly been at science festivals, such as Cheltenham Science Festival

• I have also been spoken at a number of public events concerning Robotics, AI, etc, for example WoWFest, Being PostHuman, etc.
