The Inverse Conductivity Problem -- Analysis, Geometry and Applications

The problem of determining and unknown conductivity from all pairs of Dirichlet and Neumann data has applications to medical diagnosis and research as well as to the monitoring of industrial processes. It also provides much entertainment for mathematicians. The uniqueness problem involves analysis, classical, functional and micro-local. The anisotropic case involves some interesting differential geometry. In this talk I will give a survey of the problem hopefully demonstrating that in inverse problems there is something for everyone.
