Cost of MASESS

The cost of a shared room is 200FF per day, including 3 meals, and numerous coffees/teas/soft drinks.

Funding for MASESS participants

Funding is available from the European Commission for young researchers according to European Union rules:

To obtain funding (100% of both travel and living expenses) a participant must satisfy both the following criteria:

Aged 35 or under at start of summer school (allowances can be made for childcare or compulsory military service);
Nationals of a member state* or an associated state** of the EU.

Unfortunately, there is no funding available for any other participant. Not even partial funding.

For those who are eligible for funding, you will have to pay for your travel beforehand, and you will be reimbursed by the CNRS after the summer school (this is likely to take a couple of months). On the other hand you will not have to make any payments for the board and lodging, which will be paid directly from the grant.

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

**EU associated states:
Bulgaria, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia.
