PhD Student Symposium 2025

Department of Computer Science, University of Manchester.

The 2025 Manchester Computer Science PhD Student Symposium will be held from Thursday 8th May to Friday 9th May, in the Department of Computer Science.

The symposium exists to give all PhD. students in Computer Science at Manchester the chance to present their work to the Department. First-year students display posters; second- and third-year students give short talks. In addition, the winners of the "Steve Furber" Award (best thesis) and the "Carole Goble" award (best paper) will give invited talks. The symposium provides an opportunity---for both staff and students---to learn about some of the fascinating research being carried out in the Department, across all areas of the subject.

You are advised to check this timetable periodically in case the schedule has been altered.

Instructions to speakers: please have your talk on a USB drive and present yourself at the lectern five minutes before the start of the session in which you are dues to speak. We will load the talks onto the desktop at the start of the session; this will expedite the changeover of speakers.
