Instructions for Authors

These instructions are for authors of papers accepted to the Coling 2008 regular papers, posters and demos. Authors of workshop papers are asked to consult the webpage of their respective events.

Due date for submissions of camera-ready copy of papers is 30 June 2008 (papers and posters) and 3 July 2008 (demos).

Formatting Guidelines

Authors are strongly recommended to use the style files provided here. All camera-ready manuscripts should look like the sample PDF file below, which also contains detailed formatting requirements.

The maximum length of a manuscript is eight (8) pages for regular papers and four (4) pages for posters and demos. This page limit must be strictly observed.
Note: the maximum submission length for posters was eight pages, but the maximum length of the final versions is only four pages.

It is very important to specify A4 format paper, and not to include page numbers.

Submission

All final papers should be in Portable Document Format (PDF) and submitted electronically - full details of the submission system will be made available soon. The deadlines for submission are 30 June 2008 for regular papers and posters, and 3 July 2008 for demos.

Copyright

When you submit the paper, you will be asked to electronically sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement on behalf of all authors. Before signing the form, please confirm with your co-authors (and, if applicable, your and their employers) that they authorize you to sign on their behalf.
