Guidelines for Formatting Papers for Review

This page provides links to style information and templates for Coling 2008 regular, poster and demo papers. All final camera-ready copy will be required to conform to the format described here, and templates are provided to make this easy to achieve. Any questions regarding formatting and use of these style guidelines should be directed to the Publications Chair, Roger Evans

Authors are also encouraged to use this format in their original submissions for review. However, if you do this, please note the following points:

These guidelines may also be used for other kinds of papers (eg workshop papers). Authors should consult the relevant call for papers web pages for any specific requirements.

Formatting Guidelines

Authors are strongly recommended to use the style files provided here. All manuscripts should look like the sample PDF file below, which also contains the detailed formatting specification.

It is very important to specify A4 format paper, and not to include page numbers.

When you submit the final version of your accepted paper, you will be asked to electronically sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement on behalf of all authors. Before signing the form, please confirm with your co-authors (and, if applicable, your and their employers) that they authorize you to sign on their behalf. It may be advisable to check with your co-authors even at the first submission stage.
