Slow flows and squishy stuff, fast buckling and functional fluid-structure interactions

I use laboratory experiments to explore flows, fluid-structure interactions and elastic instabilities.

Observing physical processes helps the development of theoretical models and identification of the underlying physical processes.

The insight gained from these findings can then be applied in industrial, geophysical and biological settings.

I currently work in close collaboration with Dr Draga Pihler-Puzović in the School of Physics & Astronomy of the University of Manchester, and Professor Dominic Vella of the Mathematical Institute at the University of Oxford.
