lecture 4: self-test
practical skills - lecture 4
By the end of lecture 4 you should:
- understand the basic table structure of <table> <tr> <td>
- be able to use this structure to place simple tables on your page whether to tabulate text or for layout purposes
- feel confident that you can use at least some styles (e.g. width, background-color, possibly border) to gain some control over the appearance of your tables
- know what style sheet classes are and have tried applying them to tags (not just table tags)
- have begun to practice some basic principles of web page layout, particularly the use of white space.
If you are unsure about any of these things, work on them until you are. Remember you can ask an ACOM demonstrator for help: that is what they are there for.
