Potential (Incompressible) Flow & Iterative Solver Software
Version 1.0

To download the PIFISS software and get started with it:

1. Download the compressed tarball pifiss1.0.tar.gz
2. Uncompress the software via gunzip pifiss1.0.tar.gz
3. ''Untar'' the software via tar -xvf pifiss1.0.tar
4. Read the file readme.m in the directory pifiss1.0
5. Start COMSOL (or FEMLAB) with MATLAB and type helpme

To use P-IFISS with COMSOL 3.3 and Matlab 7.3 (R2006b) on a Linux platform the -gcc344 flag must be added as an argument to the comsol command upon start-up. For example, type 'comsol -gcc344 matlab' instead of 'comsol matlab'. This is an incompatibility issue between MATLAB and COMSOL. Updating to COMSOL 3.3a and using Matlab 7.3 (R2006b) is also an alternative.
