Metric properties of \alpha-Rosen fractions
Although Rosen fractions were introduced by David Rosen in the mid 1950ies, it was only in 1995 that Hitoshi Nakada started the investigations into the metrical properties of these Rosen fractions. By its definition, Rosen fractions are generalizations of the classical nearest integer continued fraction expansion.

Max Thaler (Salzburg)
On the iteration of the Perron-Frobenius operator of a class of
interval maps preserving an infinite measure
The standard approach to distributional limit theorems for interval maps with indifferent fixed points and infinite invariant measure requires the investigation of the asymptotics of \{\sum_{k=0}^{n-1} P^k\} where P is the associated Perron-Frobenius operator. This program has been carried through successfully for a large class of maps. A natural further step would be to investigate the asymptotics of the sequence \{P^n\} itself. According to the speakers knowledge no general results have been obtained on this subject so far. The purpose of the talk is to consider the problem for specific examples.
