As part of my third year I opted to write a project on the basics of geometric group theory (specifically hyperbolic groups) supervised by Dr. Richard Webb. I wrote the project with the intention that it could feasibly be used as an introduction to the subject for undergraduates, with minimal background.
If you would like a pdf copy of this project, please contact me via email.
Under the supervision of Dr. Simon Crawford, I wrote a thesis covering some introductory homological algebra, with the goal of proving Hilbert's syzygy theorem in a modern form. The project followed the example of Rotman's text Introduction to Homological Algebra amongst others.
If you would like a pdf copy of my thesis, please contact me via email.
In June 2021, I was awarded the "Contribution to Building an Academic Community" award from the University of Manchester Students' Union, by popular vote from the student body.
