Yuni Kim

San Francisco del Mar Pueblo Viejo, Oaxaca, Mexico

Hello! As of July 2017, I’m a Lecturer in the Department of Language and Linguistics at the University of Essex. Here is my official staff profile, which may be more up-to-date than these pages. I retain an affiliation as Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Manchester.

I specialise in phonology, morphology, and field linguistics. Most of my research is on indigenous Mesoamerican languages, particularly Huave (isolate) and Amuzgo (Oto-Manguean), but I have also published on Swedish and Bantu, and am interested in languages all over the world.
