Yuni Kim

San Francisco del Mar Pueblo Viejo, Oaxaca, Mexico

Hello! I'm a Lecturer in Linguistics and English Language at the University of Manchester. I specialize in the phonological and grammatical analysis of understudied languages. Most of my research is on indigenous Mesoamerican languages, but I have also published on Swedish and Bantu, and am interested in languages all over the world.

Please note that from mid-May through early December 2016, I will be off from work and will not be reachable except by prior arrangement.

I'm affiliated with the Manchester Phonetics Laboratory, which I directed from 2009 to 2014. For the latest department news and events, visit our blog, Manchet.

From 2012 to 2015 I was Treasurer of the Linguistics Association of Great Britain. The LAGB organizes an annual conference, represents our field at national meetings of learned societies, and supports linguistics outreach in schools, UK conferences, and postgraduate student activities.
