Dynamic Analysis of the Kippax Stand

The kippax stand. Manchester City Football Club, consists of 19 supporting frames at interval of 6 metres. When the stand is full there will be 3437 people and 804 people sitting on the middle tier and the upper tier of the stand respectively.

The objective of the technical consultancy work, conducted in July 1994, was to determine the dynamic characteristics of the stand and the dynamic response of the stand subject to human movements where jumping is likely to be involved.
