fn8@mcs.le.ac.uk I will describe the l-adique cohomology ring of the moduli stack of vector bundles with fixed rank and degree on an algebraic curve in positive characteristic and will explicitly describe the action of the various geometric and arithmetic Frobenius morphisms on the cohomology ring and look at some explicit examples. If time permits I will indicate how to prove the Weil conjectures for the moduli stack. This is in part joint work with Ulrich Stuhler (Goettingen).
