I will show a new and simple method to calculate characteristic numbers of multiple-point manifolds of generic immersions. This in turn can be applied to obtain results about their cobordism classes. These numbers have been already calculated in some particular cases by various authors using different methods. Our approach (which is a simple application of the Herbert-Ronga formula) gives results in some knew cases and at the same time proves the previous results in a coherent way.
