Grassmann-Cayley algebra is a combination of exterior algebra with dual exterior algebra, with a nice connection between them. This allows all of synthetic projective geometry to be expressed in symbolic algebra, and makes for easy calculation of projective invariants. Applications will be given to the calculation of instantaneous velocities and critical configurations in robotics, and to infinitesimal rigidity of frameworks.
