Clifford Algebras

Ian Porteous (University of Liverpool)

The talk will be introductory in nature, being mainly concerned with the construction and key properties of Clifford algebras for real and complex vector spaces furnished with non-degenerate quadratic forms of arbitrary rank and signature.

Full details are in my book Clifford Algebras and the Classical Groups, CUP, 1995, but I shall also be able to provide a preprint from the proceedings of a Conference at the University of Tennessee, held in May 2002.
