We are devoted to promoting Argentine Tango in the Manchester area, by providing exciting classes along with friendly and enjoyable social dancing (milongas).
Our milongas and classes attract people from well beyond Manchester. Our milongas constitute the main tango event in Manchester and are the meeting place for all Tango lovers. Our classes are prepared with utmost care and are are among the most popular and appreciated.
The techniques taught are modern and emphasise functionality, naturalness, dynamics and playfulness. They allow the dancers to effectively master and enjoy both traditional Tango as well as Tango Nuevo and to mix them seamlessly on the dancefloor.

- Tango on Sundays is ON in La Tasca from July 25 to August 15 with the beginners' class and milonga being run by Mike and Sue: 7-8pm beginners-improvers class; 8:11pm Milonga. No Tango on August 22 and 29 (summer break), returning on September 5th. For further questions please contact us by email (tangomanchester@gmail.com) rather than by phone during July-August, since we will be in Buenos Aires.

Answer to common questions:
- You can start any date; just show up.
- No need to book.
- No need to have a partner (we change partner every few minutes, unless you prefer to work with a partner you came with).
- Dress as you like but non-sticky shoes are needed (for pivoting).
- The class is structured as a cycle of basic elements, which can be picked up at any point (although continuity of attendance is preferable).
- Please approach the class (as everything else) with an open and critical mind; ask why and do not accept things as correct simply because they are repeated by a large number of people. This is the best way to improve and learn. Otherwise, you may limit yourself, miss out, and waste precious time.
