We are pleased to announce the 20th International Postgraduate Linguistics Conference (PLC20), which will take place from Thursday 3rd November to Friday 4th November 2011.
The theme for the conference is Interfaces in Linguistic Research.
Keynote speakers:
Prof Diane Blakemore (University of Salford):'Imitation or representation? The role of
expressives in free indirect discourse'
Prof Nigel Vincent (University of Manchester): 'Compositionality and change'
Dr Ricardo Bermudez-Otero (University of Manchester): 'On the properties of phonological processes with small
morphological domains'
Dr Heike Pichler (University of Salford): 'Discourse-pragmatic variation and change:
Implications for linguistic theory'
The fee of the conference will be £30.00 before 5th September and £35.00 after. 21st October is the final registration deadline. The fee will include lunch and refreshments during both days of the conference.
