Research Profile
The main focus of Dr Reader's research group is to advance the methodology used for positron emission tomography (PET) image reconstruction, data correction and parameter estimation for application to clinical research projects in neuroscience. Positron emission tomography (PET) provides images of the entire human brain at all depths, offering many different measures of brain function. His research aims to significantly advance the raw data processing methodology for a newly installed high resolution PET scanner, thus enhancing the scanner’s utility for researchers studying brain function and disease.
