CONSUMPTION STUDY
Informed Consent

What will I be asked?
To talk to a chatbot about how you are doing, and to write a review of a product.

Who is asking?
My name is Alex Gunz, I'm a lecturer in Marketing at Alliance Manchester Business School, and this is an activity for our class
(that can be used for real academic research too, if you are ok with that).

Are my answers confidential?
YES.

You will make a secret code name so that 1) you can know which feedback belongs to you, and 2) so we can connect this to a different survey next week.

But that name is... well, your secret!

Where will my data be kept?
On the Chatbot server, and/or on the university and personal computers of the lead researcher (where it will be encrypted).

What if I change my mind?
There shouldn't be anything here that would make anyone uncomfortable, but if a question does, for any reason, you may skip it.

Will this be published?
If you consent to that, I really hope so! In academic journals is the aim.

Who has reviewed the research project?
A decision tool from our Research Ethics Committee has determined that this study has little to no risk.

Under what legal basis are you collecting this information?
Under EU laws, we are collecting it as "a public interest task" and "a process necessary for research purposes". Those lawyers sure have a way with words.

What if I have a complaint?
