I'm a 3rd year research student pursuing a PhD degree under the supervision of Dr. Victor M. Gonzalez in the Manchester Business School at The University of Manchester.

I look at how people living away from their home communities use ICTs to maintain strong connections to the homeland. My research takes concepts, methods and techniques from social sciences to undertstand the communication practices of migrants.

I received a Master of Science degree from CICESE Research Center (2005), in Ensenada, Mexico. I also hold a bachelors degree from the Institute of Technology in Mexicali (2002).
